The grooved
snubber and post design for this grip helps to ensure a center
break on the specimen. The swivel-plate mounted 25mm (1 in)
snubber maintains proper alignment of the specimen. The ball
socket mounting screw in the upper grip maintains accurate
alignment of the upper and lower grips. Maximum specimen
diameter is 2mm (1/16 in).

Used
for testing on fine, flexible wire and filament. The specimen
is pulled to break and the relationship recorded between force
