This grip is
designed for reliable center breaks, quick installation and
easy release of the specimen. The grip utilizes 3 non-locking
pins for wrapping the specimen in a "figure 8" pattern. A ball
socket mounting screw in the upper grip helps maintain upper
and lower grip alignment.

Used
for testing on cord and twine. The specimen is pulled to break
and the relationship recorded between force at break and
